If you haven't read the book, or just to refresh your memory, I will give a brief summary. A girl named Lilly Owens lives with her abusive father, her strong-willed but kind black nanny, and a disturbing memory...of the day she accidentally shot her mother when she was four years old. When her nanny, Rosaleen ends up in jail, Lilly decides to take action. She busts Rosaleen out of jail and runs away to the small town of Tiburon, South Carolina, on a quest to rediscover her mothers past. Once there, the trail her mother left leads her to a strange hot pink house inhabited by a trio of black sisters- a beekeeper,a cellist and a sensitive basket of nerves. All of them are named after summer months and each of them affects Lilly in a different way. What happens next is up to you to find out, you have to read the book.
